I stayed at this hotel from the 15th to the 19th of January to have a break from the busy life of London and to catch up with friends. The staff were all very helpful and welcoming no matter the time of day and the silly things I was asking for. Thank you to Martin who was on duty on Sunday night and was happy to have a talk about the hotel and Bath itself, this really added to my memories of Bath and makes me want to stay there again in the future. I also had the breakfast each morning with the staff there making sure all requests were met and that everyone was satisfied, the burger from the restaurant is also something I want to have again and again. I also believe it was Megan who upgraded my room which deserves a mention, I will definitely be choosing this hotel again for my next visit to Bath.!
Had an amazing stay! It was a beautiful hotel with incredible location. Was perfectly positioned in the city and ideal for a weekend away! We were also given an upgrade on arrival and booked through secret escapes so got a free drink on arrival and breakfast included!! (View from room attached)
I stayed at the Abbey Hotel for 2 nights on a solo trip and it was a lovely experience throughout. Beautiful hotel with a lovely comfortable room. Breakfast was delicious and I have to give a special shoutout to Sally who has been so amazing and friendly during my stay. We had good chats and laughs in the restaurant which made this stay most memorable.
Loved staying here. Stayed at the hotel for 3 nights and the service was very friendly and helpful. The receptionist, Sannah, helped us with any doubts or help we needed. The room service was very was and they cleaned the rooms very quickly! The bath was very comfortable, the bathroom was really nice and spacious. The beds were very comfortable as well. The pillows were a bit too hard but that’s just my like, anyone could like different pillows. Great hotel! Close to the Pultney Bridge, some shops, the market, and the train station too.
We had a wonderful stay at the Abbey, walking distance to Bath's historical highlights. The room was very comfortable and clean, modern, warm - great! And overall our highlight was breakfast with the lovely service from Daisy, she was very attentive, friendly and made overall our mornings at the Abbey Hotel very enjoyable.
A Charming Bath Experience with Great Location *High Points: location, view from my room, spacious room; our Chinese Hong-Kong based team of kitchen and breakfast room staff looking after guests very well; cute restaurant and back bar decor *Low Points: the parts of bathroom and bedroom showing age like very dirty desk chair, chipped and rusted bathroom fittings; recycled decorative pillows that didn't seem very sanitary changing from guest to guest; space heater in the corner plug-in is always a sign that perhaps the heating isn't working properly; overall not a feeling of super-clean status based on the bedspreads and pillows that remain from guest to guest; conflicting info about when my room would be ready and finally restaurant manager checked and did it himself exactly at 1510. *Unique Points: pull-chain cute toilet; blonde manager of the restaurant and bar who took care of everyone in all sections of the place including back bar area to front area while we await our rooms
Stayed here for new years with my partner and we had a lovely stay. The room was very comfortable, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The breakfast was also lovely and the service from everyone we encountered was excellent. The only minor thing I would say as a negative was the towel rail wasn’t quite enough to warm the bathroom effectively, so it was quite cold in there compared to the rest of the room. It was a particularly cold couple of days when we stayed though, which will have had an impact on this, so absolutely would not deter us for staying again. Overall very comfortable and welcoming stay, and we can’t wait to return in the future!
Daisy gave us an excellent service. It was honestly one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. She was very kind, friendly, and attentive. She made us feel welcome and comfortable the whole time. Everything was perfect, and we really appreciated her great attitude.
